Profile

I am a Professional Photographer and Broadcast TV News Cameraman, based on the outskirts of London. My growing portfolio of clients include ITN, Reuters TV and the Financial Times.

Background

I began my photography career whilst serving in the military. I had spent 8 fantastic years as a Royal Marines Commando before deciding that my future lie in photography and Video so it was at that point I requested a transfer to the Royal Navy Photographers Branch, in order to become a Combat Cameraman. This job I did for around 5 years working predominantly with the Marines but also serving on board various ships. I completed operational tours of Iraq and Afghanistan and won Royal Navy Photographer of the Year only 6 months out of Photography School.

In 2008 I left the fold of the British Military and embarked on a career as a freelance Press, Commercial and wedding Photographer. Realising very quickly that in the press world a largely military based portfolio doesn’t count for much I made gains working for some of the smaller press agencies such as INS News, London Media and National News in central London, and set about expanding my range of shots to break into the very competitive London press photography circuit.

I worked for the Daily Mail and other UK daily Newspapers throughout this period also gaining commissions for PR agencies to cover Events and trade shows. I have also had the pleasure of taking Photography at some beautiful weddings.

What Now?

Based on the western fringe of London with my beautiful wife Sara, I still cover a wide repertoire of tasks for Newspapers, Agencies and Commercial Clients, along with plenty of my own personal projects I provide hi-end wedding photography for couples who want the most comprehensive coverage of their big day. My TV work is taking me all over the UK and abroad and is getting busier month on month. Shooting for the likes of ITN and Reuters gets me on some excellent jobs as you can read about and see on my blog pages.

I am expanding my photography business every year, bringing in new commercial clients while still maintaining a large amount of work with the National Press, and television channels.
