Thanks Puran,
I think the kitten is adopting us anyway... And I think I'm going to buy shares in an anti-histamine company for Sara's allergy.
A pint (or two) sounds good!

Hello Lee,
Lovely photos of the kittens. I am trying to convince Sara that you should take in the kitten that has laid claim to your garden. Maybe she will overcome her allergy!!!
I happened to be looking at that photograph of Sara as she fell down after digging the clump of potato. It could not have been more perfect if it had been orchestrated. She landed nicely into the trench between the rows. Folks here still do not believe that it was a totally opportunistic shot. Must meet soon to enjoy a pint.

Moving Images definately give you scope to be creative in a completely different way to stills, it is easier using a set sequence to tell a story than it is to compose that all encompassing still image that encapsulates what is happening at any particular event. However, there are so many more elements to think about when it comes to composing several shots for a video sequence. Sound being one of the major things to get right, then you have wide shots, mid shots, close-ups and cut-aways, with interviews and voxpops. The two disciplines are completely different. but also have so much in common when it comes down to basic shot composure.

Looks like some good interesting work - it'd be interesting to hear some comments and how you find working with video compared to stills. Do you miss being able to compose a definative single image or enjoy the scope moving images offer?

It's nice to see a snapper taking some time and care on lighting a portrait. It's pretty easy for some assignments to stick it on a 70-200, blow out the background and knock off a bit of fill in. Keep the faith and all that
