Picture of the day – Chelsea Bridge

I seem to have a fixation about bridges… Here is picture of the day for yesterday (or last night). Chelsea bridge provides a carriageway for thousands of commuters each day over the River Thames between Chelsea and Battersea. At night time is lit up with lights that make it look rather spectacular.

We have two gorgeous little black kittens visiting us on a daily basis… Of course they come to us because we feed them in the morning but who could resist? They are about 4 months old and their mother who is just a bigger fluffier version than these two is a stray that lives in next doors shed. (more…)

Welcome…

Hi and welcome to my photography based website and blog. I am a freelance professional photographer and like many other freelancers I have this website to showcase my work and promote my services to gain business in the commercial sector and wedding photography.

Thanks for taking the time to visit and please make sure you have a good dig around, I wish to cater for photographers and non-photographers alike with blog posts talking about photography techniques, useful web resources for photographers and news articles and lots of images for everyone to see. If you are looking for a photographer then I will have some useful information about the right way to employ one and entice you to use my talents rather than anyone else’s.

From time to time I will also be resurrecting images from my archive, I’m a big fan of showing images and too many sit in archives gathering dust on hard drives and CD’s and a blog is an excellent way of getting those images out there. Please feel free to leave comments, as it’s a great way for me to learn and develop my photography and If images are good then I hope to find out if anyone likes them or not.

In the Commercial photography section I will aim my sights quite heavily on businesses, giving advice on things like copyright, terms and conditions, licensing of images and how to get the best from your photographer. It’s crucial to be transparent when it comes to educating potential clients about photography and why these issues are so important.

I do a lot of work as a Press photographer and I will blog about stories I have covered and how I photograph them, hopefully you’ll find this interesting and again feedback and discussion is always welcome. Being a press tog keeps me sharp and a lot of the skills cross over and compliment for example PR work and wedding photography.
